多媒体网络技术的飞速发展为大学英语教学改革注入了新的活力,建构主义理论为网络环境下利用多媒体进行大学英语教学的实施奠定了理论基础。文章介绍了网络环境下多媒体大学英语教学的概念、教学系统的基本结构和新的教学模式。结合作者自身的教学改革实践,阐释了新的教学模式有助于学生进行个性化的自主学习,培养自主学习能力,从而提高教师的教学效率和学生的学习效果,同时也指出了在新的教学模式下产生的新问题。

The rapid development of the technology of multimedia and network has poured fresh vigor into the reform of College English Teaching, and Constructivism Theory has laid theoretical foundation for College English Teaching with the aid of multimedia device and network course. The paper introduces some concepts of College English Teaching with the aid of Multimedia and network course, the basic structure of the teaching and learning system, and the new teaching and learning mode. Based on the author＇s own teaching reform practice, the paper establishes that the new teaching and learning mode is of great help for students to learn individually and independently and foster their capability of independent learning, and hence improves teaching efficiency on the part of teacher and learning efficiency on the part of students. The paper also points out some problems resulted from the new teaching mode.
