Bubble transition and natural transition process have been presented figuratively by means of oil stream-visualization technique on an typical compressor cascade at different Mach number and different attack angle.FOllowing some comments on extant empi ncalcriteria for transition modeling,the authors construct a new elaborate one which make use of Abu-Ghannam & Shaw's correlation for transition start point,and of Gostelow &Walker's for transition length.Comparison between calculations and experimental data gives satisfactory results.
