现阶段我国高等教育机会阶层辈出率研究

A Study of Stratum Enrollment Rates for Higher Education in China Today

高等教育公平问题,是处于转型中中国面临的重大社会问题。研究发现,各阶层间高等教育机会阶层辈出率差异非常明显。其中,阶层辈出率最高的国家与社会管理者阶层其子女的受高等教育机会水平,是阶层辈出率最低的商业服务人员阶层子女的40.12倍。这表明,现阶段我国社会各阶层间,高等教育机会获得水平存在严重的不均衡情况,因此,当代中国社会各阶层间,高等教育机会分布的严重不公平状况必须得到尽快改善,否则只会加重转型中国社会的教育不平等与社会不平等程度,严重影响社会和谐发展。

Equal opportunity for higher education is very important in the trausition period of China. There exists a big variance among the stratum enrollment rates for higher education. The stratum enrollment rate for the state and social administrative stratum, the highest of the ten social strata, is 40.12 times of that of the commercial service stratum, the lowest of the ten social strata. It shews the inequitable opportunity for higher education of different strata is quite serious in China. The author argues that the big gap among the enrollment rates for higher education of different strata should he reduced as soon as possible. Otherwise, inequality for higher education opportunity will imperil the construction and development of a harmonious society.
