The situation and developing trends of dyeing and finishing industry of Japan and Korea were introduced. The characteristics of their dyeing and finishing industry were outlined, such as small lots, multi-items and quick response production to meet the market needs; with high value-added products to obtain competitive advantages; less labor, hi^her sales profits, strict and systematic production management, developing energy saving and high efficient equipments etc. Compared with the Japan and Korea, the advantages and disadvantages of dyeing and finishing industry of China were analyzed and their improvement and solution were pointed out.
