The main catalysts for polymerization are single-site catalysts, Ziegle-Natta catalysts and Phillips catalysts. Single-site catalysts are the ones of the growth opportunities, the ,narket for polymers ,nade with single-site catalyst is growing globally. In Western Europe, about 70% -75% of polyethylene production capacity uses a Ziegle-Natta catalyst, the 23% - 25% installed capacity is based on Phillips catalyst, polypropylene is produced mainly by Ziegle-Natta catalyst. Advanced Ziegle-Natta catalysts can be readily applied to existing processes,and they are more firmly established in polypropylene production, so their use should continue to grow.
