Revisiting Chen Duxiu's View of Democracy in His Late Years

晚年的陈独秀,通过对斯大林错误的反思,认为资产阶级民主有借鉴价值,主张借鉴资产阶级民主,建立无产阶级民主制,从而形成新的社会主义民主观。其见解不是他思想的倒退,而是对马列主义民主理论的充实和发展。

In his late years, by reflecting on Stalin＇s mistakes, Chen Duxiu negated Soviet＇s proletariat dictatorship. And Chen advocated establishing proletarian democracy in the light of bourgeoisie＇ s democracy so as to form a new view of socialist demoeraey. Chen＇s view should not he considered as a regression of his thought; instead it developed and enriched Marxist - Leninist theory.
