社会网络研究提出来以后,逐渐在社会学各领域得到推广利用。在情报学领域,从上世纪80年代开始,逐渐在信息检索、信息行为和信息计量学领域得到推广和应用,对网络知识发掘、科学评价、网络信息行为研究以及知识管理的发展起到了重大的作用。

Once Social Networks Analysis （SNA） paradigm came out, it has been wide spreading in many fields of social science. As far as information science is concerned, it was gradually applied in information retrieval, information behaviors and informetries. It signed the significant function to and greatly promoted thedevelopment of information excavating to network knowledge, science appraisal, network information behavior research and knowledge management.
