Breeding and Utilization of Fine Quality Indica CMS Line Li A in Rice

里A是广西桂穗种业有限公司以博A为母本、自选保持材料里占为父本杂交并经过多代回交转育而成的优质籼稻不育系。里A不育性稳定,柱头发达,异交结实率高,易于繁殖制种,可恢复性好,配合力强,杂种1代产量高、米质优,2005年3月通过广西区品种审定。

Li A, derived from the cross between Bo A and Lizhan （a maintainer material with its parentage of Baotai＇ai/ Guanglu＇ai 4//Bo B） by successive backcrossing method, is a new indica CMS line with fine grain quality. It has a complete and stable male sterility, a high outcrossing rate for easy hybrid seed production, a good restorability and a good combining ability for making F1 hybrids with both high yield and good grain quality. It was certified by the Guangxi Crop Variety Release Committee in March, 2005.
