黄道婆作为南方“木棉”北上传播的杰出使者,为中国棉纺织业的发展作出了难以磨灭的历史贡献。中国棉纺织布技术转化为生产力,必须经过传播、推广的过程。由于黄道婆革新和传播棉纺织业的示范作用,为淞沪地区的棉纺织业赢得了“松郡棉布,衣被天下”的美誉。

As an outstanding ambassador who spread the kapok from the South to the North, Huang Daopo made a remarkable contribution to the development of the textile industry in China. Only going through the process of spread and promotion can the cotton spinning and weaving techniques be turned into productive force. Huang Daopo dedicated to innovation and spread of techniques and made a good reputaiton for the textile industry in Songhu District.
