Promoting International Exchange and Cooperation to Face the Internationalization of Higher Vocational Education

国际交流与合作是高职院校实现教育国际化的重要途径。目前,缺乏政府教育职能部门的统一管理和协调,交流合作模式单一、缺少高职特色及高职院校自身条件不足限制了国际交流合作的开展。探讨解决问题的对策和国际交流合作的模式对加快高职教育的国际化发展具有重要意义。

This paper argues that international exchange and cooperation is an important pathway for higher vocational colleges to face challenges brought by the internationalization of higher vocational education. It then points out that some factors have currently affected the promotion of international exchange and cooperation.These factors include the lack of administration and coordination from authority, the exchange and cooperation mode, no vocational features in joint programs and colleges＇ own drawbacks. Eventually, some solutions are proposed and further exploration of the cooperative modes is suggested.
