Thermal Effect of Rectangle Composite YAG-Nd:YAG Laser Crystal by LD End-pumped

摘要 通过对LD端面入射复合晶体工作特点分析,建立了符合实际工作情况的热模型,利用热传导方程一种新求解方法,得出了矩形截面复合晶体的温度场分布和端面热形变场通解表达式。研究结果表明:当使用输出功率为18WLD端面中心入射复合晶体YAG-Nd:YAG(YAG部分为2mm,Nd:YAG部分掺Nd3+质量分数为1%)时,在抽运端面中心获得101.35℃最高温升(比全部掺杂Nd:YAG晶体降低了22.3%)和2.61μm最大热形变量。得出了复合晶体可以有效降低晶体中最高温升、但是不能减少晶体端面热形变的重要结论。 By analysing the work characteristic of end-pumped composite crystal,a thermal model was built according to the actual working state. A new solution of the heat conduction equation was introduced, and the general solutions of temperature field and pump-face thermal deformation field of rectangle composite crystal were obtained. The result shows that when the output power of LD center-end-pumped composite crystal (The length of YAG crystal is 2 mm and the Nd:YAG crystal has 1. 0% neodymium-doped concentration) is 18 W,the pump-face central of composite crystal can get 101.35℃ maximal temperature rise (compared with the Nd:YAG crystal pumped at same conditions,the maximal temperature rise is decreased 22.3 % ) and has a 2.61 μm thermal deformation, An important conclusion that the composite YAG-Nd: YAG crystal instead of Nd. YAG crystal can effectively decrease the maximal temperature rise and can't decrease thermal deformation was drawn. The method can also be applied to analyze thermal problems of other composite crystals, and supply a theoretical base to effectively solve thermal problems in laser systems.
