政治媒体化是当今媒体社会的一个重要现象,它揭示了新闻媒体与政治治理不可分割的关联,政治越来越受媒体的控制,媒体也演变为政坛的“斗秀场”。美国学者Timothy Cook把制造新闻与政治治理的不可分割性称为“政治媒体化”。在政治逻辑下,媒体的所谓客观性、独立和自由、媒介权力的实质等,都是值得怀疑的;在媒体逻辑中,大众传媒似乎已经成为国家政治生活中的“第四种权力”。渠道畅通的政治表达是社会民主的重要标志,“多种声音,一个世界”的政治秩序已经形成。大众传媒可以创造出健康的舆论空间,为更合理的政治决策提供必要条件。

Political media is a major phenomenon of the present media society. It shows the close relationship between media and political management, the increase of media＇ s control of politics and the transformation of media into a political arena. Timothy Cook, an American scholar, refers to this inseparableness of news making and political management as political media. By political logic, the objectiveness, independence and freedom of media are doubtable;by media logic, mass media has become ＂the fourth power＂ of national political life. Smooth political expression is a symbol of democracy. The political order of ＂multiple voices, one world＂ has taken shape. Mass media can create a healthy channel for public opinions and a solid foundation for more reasonable decision making.
