A Russo-US Relationship Where Rivalry Coexists with Cooperation

俄美两国经历了多年的相互争斗与妥协、磨合与容忍，终于形成双方合作面扩大、关系相对稳定化和实用化的局面。今后双方在全球层面上的影响力争夺和地缘政治、经济利益上争夺的战略性矛盾依然突出，但战略合作势在必行，不会形成以对抗为主流的“新冷战”。

After going through many years of mutual contentions and compromises, wear-ins and tolerance, a new prospect of Russo-US relationship has finally emerged in which mutual cooperation range is widened while bilateral ties between them are entering into a stage of relative stability and practicability. In the coming years, strategic contradictions between them as shown in their scrambling for influences on the global scenes and vying for geopolitical and economic interests remain prominent. Nevertheless, strategic cooperation between them is imperative. It is unlikely that a 'new Cold War' will be brought into being in which confrontation carries the day.
