As a new and representative culture in the Alluvial Plains of Songhuajiang, Wusulijiang and Heilongjiang Rivers, Wanyanhe Type is mainly distributed in northeast of Heilongjiang, dated to West and East Dynasties. It was first discovered in 1973, unearthed in 1974, and named after the site Wanyanhe. Based on several sites we found similar to Wanyanhe Type and some new materials published in recent year, we do some research work between Wanyanhe Type and Porcai Culture, their cultural nature and features, we may draw a conclusion that there were some common elements between them, in the mean time, some differences existed in the two cultures too, so we named the new site "Wanyanhe type" .
