多用户勘探是地球物理勘探公司(物探公司)在非专用性基础上向用户提供的勘探服务。作为国际石油勘探行业近年逐渐发展起来的一种投资经营方式,多用户勘探能够提高物探公司及行业的设备和队伍利用率,能够使物探公司规避油价风险并为其带来可观的投资回报率。同时,多用户勘探能够缩短石油勘探开发公司(油公司)的勘探开发周期,降低油公司的勘探风险和勘探成本。多用户勘探许可的获取与一般勘探服务项目不同。多用户勘探数据库的销售有定额销售协议和预先投资协议两种方式。多用户勘探投资项目的会计处理方式具有特殊性。中国石油集团东方地球物理勘探公司(BGP)已经开始尝试多用户勘探投资项目,并在拓宽融资渠道、改善投资管理程序等方面积极探索,以适应多用户勘探投资业务发展的需要。
Multi-client exploration, a non-exclusive exploration service provided by geophysical prospecting companies for clients, is a new model developed for investment in global petroleum exploration. It helps geophysical prospecting companies raise the efficiency of their facilities and manpower, avert oil price fluction risk, and increase their return-on-investment besides shortening the time consumed in oil exploration and development, and mitigating their exploration risk and cost. Licence acquiring of multi-client exploration is different from traditional exploration services. A multi-client exploration database is sold primarily through a sales rationing agreement and advance-investment agreement. Multi-client exploration is also unique in the way accounts are handled. CNPC's BGP has launched some multi-client exploration investment projects and is exploring ways to broaden the source of financing and improve its investment management in the multi-client exploration business.
