摘要
英语词汇是学习英语的基础,词汇学习策略的掌握影响着学习者的学习效果。全文通过对高职院校二年级学生词汇学习策略的问卷调查,用统计软件SPSS分析了词汇学习策略与成绩的相关性以及各策略的使用平均数。分析显示,猜词策略和产生焦虑感与词汇学习呈极其显著相关。认知策略使用率最高,元认知策略使用率最低。教师应培养学生选择正确的词汇学习策略,学生应积极主动调整策略。
This paper explores the importance of vocabulary learning strategies in English acquisition. It is argued that strategies employed by learners have great influence over their proficiencies. The study is based on a questionnaire about English vocabulary learning strategies used by a group of HVTC (Higher Vocational - technical College) students and the mean of each strategy is analyzed by SPSS (11.5). The findings show that the guessing strategy and the students' anxiety have very close correlation with vocabulary acquisition. The cognitive strategy is employed most frequently and the metacognitive strategy least. Teachers should guide the students to adopt correct strategies and the students should adjust themselves to the proper strategies.
