摘要
英语素质教育的基本要求和途径是确立学生的主体地位，使他们真正成为学习的主人；面向全体，发展个性。挖掘学习和运用英语的内在潜能，培养运用英语的能力，全面提高英语素质。这就需要改变传统教育观念和教学方法，以新的教学方式面对学习者。
The essential requirement and method of English quality education are to establish the key position of students, have them be the real masters of study, face to the whole, develop personality, excavate potential of studying and using English, cultivate the ability to use English, improve English quality in an all - round way. It is necessary to change the traditional education concept and teaching method to provide students with new teaching modes.
