Breeding Report of a New Potato Variety Ningshu 9

宁薯9号是西吉县马铃薯生产研究所从优良品种阿尔法中系统选育而成的马铃薯新品种。全生育期122d，株高58.2～78．9cm，花冠紫色，薯块白皮白肉，芽眼浅而少，含干物质28．81％，淀粉20％～23％．粗蛋白3．14％，还原糖0．36％，抗病性好。2000-2001年参加宁南山区区域试验，2a平均折合产量27852．8kg／hm^2，较对照宁薯8号增产12.45％。适宜在宁南山区山坡、梯田、川台旱地及类似生态区种植。

The new potato variety, Ningshu 9 was bred by Potato Production Research Institute of Xiji through potato variety Alpha of selections. The whole breeding period is 122 d, the plant height of the variety is 58.2-78.9 cm. The tuber is white skin and flesh and with little and shallow sprout eyes. The corolla is purple. The seed contains dry matter 28.81%, starch 20%-23%, crude protein 3. 14% and reducing sugar 0. 36%. The variety is high resistant to disease. The average yield in regional test of the south of Ningxia is 27852.8 kg/hm^2, and more than Ningshu 8 by 12.45% from 2000 to 2001, it suits to be planted in mountain slope, terrace land and irrigated areas of the south of Ningxia and the similar areas.
