A Study on Comparison of the Traditional and Contemporary Concept of Honor and Disgrace in China

从文化发展的角度探讨了中国传统和现代荣辱观的进步,分析了荣辱观在当代道德体系中的作用与价值。指出了面向新时期,当代荣辱观在充分发挥其道德导向性作用的基础上,与现实紧密结合,在坚持人本化和生活化的同时,具有与个人情感体验等和谐统一的优越性与创新性。

The concept of honor and disgrace is the kernel and most fundamental part of ethics as well as an important segment in Chinese traditional ethic culture. This paper has not only summarized the Chinese ancient concept of honor and disgrace and its development after the founding of People＇s Republic of China, but also probed into the development of this concept ：in different historical periods from the angle of cultural development. Moreover, it has pointed out the functions and value of the concept of honor and disgrace in modem ethic system, that is, in the new era, the concept of honor and disgrace, guiding principlefor modern ethic, should stick to the human-oriented idea and be more practical apart from developing its superiority and creativity harmoniously with personal emotional experience.
