My view about writing biography of Yan Song

从1983年开始,我开始搜集和研究有关严嵩方面的史料。2003年,终于以真实的史料、通俗的语言写成《荣辱人生———严嵩话本》一书出版。在写作过程中,我本着“立足实事求是,着意诠释人生”的原则,立足史料,又不为大量“似是而非”的史料所迷惑,希望以自己的考察和研究,再现严嵩等历史人物的真实人生。

From 1983, 1 began to collect and study the historic materials about Yan Song. In 2003, the biography of Yan Song was fin- ished and published in simple language according to the true historic materials. In the course of writing the book, I stuck to the matter - of- fact principle to write his real life, rejecting paradoxical historic materials, so as to show the real historic figure through my own observation and research.
