The Influence of the Group of Interests Distribution on Food Price in Disastrous and Famished Period in Hunan

“岁有凶禳,故谷有贵贱”,每逢灾荒,粮食减产或绝收,粮价上扬,这是一个必然的规律。但粮价上扬除了灾荒造成粮食短缺这一自然条件外,分利集团利己的、不合理的分利活动,引发或加剧了灾荒时期的“粮荒”,是湖南灾荒时期粮价上扬的最根本的原因。

As there are occasional good and bad years, the food price is affected to be expensive or cheap. When caught in natural disasters, it is an inexorable law that there would be less or no production and thus the price of groin would go up. Besides this reason of natural conditions causing food shortage, the key reason of food price upping during disastrous and famished period lies in egocentric and unreasonable interests distribution of the group of interests distribution, which causes or aggravates the Food Famine in disastrous and famished period.
