语言哲学中的指称论(名实论)与翻译的意义观

The Theory of Reference(the Theory of Name and Notion) in the Philosophy of Language vs.the Semantic View in Translation

通过考察语言哲学中的意义指称论,探索其历史渊源———名实论,对语言与世界的关系问题,对语言的意义问题等语言哲学的基本问题进行了探究,对翻译意义观进行了初步思考。语言的意义在于使用,有多少种用法,就有多少种意义,意义的指称论(古代的名实论)对翻译意义观具有重要的启示和参照作用,但是翻译的意义观却不应建立在简单的意义指称论上。

This paper investigates the reference theory in the philosophy of language and explores its origin in the theory of name and notion. It probes into such basic problems as the relationship between language and the world, and meaning. Based on this, the paper proposes some idea about the semantic view in translation. The meaning in language lies in its use. The meanings are as many as their uses. The reference thory in semantics （ known as the theory of form and content in ancient times） can offer some suggestions and references to the semantic views in transation. However, the semantic view in translation should not be built on a simplex theory of reference.
