Analysis on the theoretical distinction of political development and political modernization

政治发展与政治现代化是当今时代我们用来衡量政治进步以及政治文明的两个重要的理论维度,两者之间有着极为紧密的理论关联。但从严格意义上来说,政治发展与政治现代化是两个不同的理论概念,有着不同的运动机制、变化规律、发展趋势及理论祈向。中国共产党在伟大的社会主义现代化建设实践过程中,在处理这两者关系的问题上,有过成功的经验,也有着极为惨痛的教训。

Political development and political modernization are the important theoretical measures to judge political progresses and political civilization in modern times, they have much common, in theoretical interrelations, but in the strict senses, political development and political modernization are two different theory concepts, they have different movement mechanism, variety regulation, development trends and theoretical orientations. The Communist Party of China has successful experiences and lessons in dealing with the two relations in the course of great socialist modernization.
