Polyferric sulfate (PFS) is a newly developed coagulant which has good coagulating characteristics and is being widely used. Solid PFS can be simply prepared from industrial by - product FeSO_4 · 7H_2 O and waste acids, such as pickling acids of iron and steel and acids from TiO2 production, by using air dewatering and oxidation method. The quality specification is also given. All these give a new prospective for the development of PFS.
