隐喻的认知与范畴化

Metaphor's cognition and category

隐喻的本质就是用一种事物去理解和体验另外一种事物。传统上,人们把隐喻归入修辞研究的范围。G.L akoff以及Svorou等人从认知语言学角度研究隐喻的意义,开辟了一个新的研究领域,并提出对认知语言学领域中的范畴化研究能够更好地解释语言中的隐喻现象。文章在前人研究的基础上探讨隐喻的认知方式、范畴化以及二者的关系。

Metaphor＇s essence is to comprehend and experience one thing through another. Traditionally, it was classified into the scope of rhetorical study. G. Lakoff and Svorou opened a new field of study by researching into the meaning of metaphor in terms of cognitive linguistics. They stated that the study of category in cognitive linguistics could better explain the metaphor phenomenon in language. On the basis of the study by the predecessors, this article presents a research into the fundamental theories of metaphor cognition, category and their relationship.
