中国文学翻译:东西方文化力量的抗衡与融合

Chinese literary translation—Cultural contention between the east and the west

文章从翻译策略的角度,引出当前翻译研究视阈的转变,即从语言学层面转向文化、政治等外部因素的研究。在后殖民翻译理论视角下,翻译过程中隐藏着文化殖民现象,欧美强势文化企图通过对弱势文化的操控来实现其政治目的。通过对部分有代表性的中国近代文学翻译史的追溯,文章探讨了特定历史阶段翻译策略的选择对于抵抗西方文化霸权主义的意义。中国在新的国际政治经济环境下努力提高文化竞争力,从文化输出走向文化互动,与西方平等对话,具有重要的现实意义。

This paper provides a cultural and political turn of the study of translation scope from the angle of translation strategies. It points out that there conceals cultural colonialization in translation, that is the manipulation of the strong culture towards the weak for the sake of its political aim under the new circumstances of globalization. By a general survey of some representative Chinese literary translation history, it points out the great realistic meanings of resisting western cultural hegemony by adopting different translation strategy. China should intense its cultural competitive power and make cultural interactions from the original cultural export in order to be in a position of equal conversation with the western world under the new national environment.
