The Development of the Modern Seed Industry based on the Protection System of New Varieties of Plants

分析了植物新品种保护制度对现代种子产业发展的积极作用,探讨了当前中国种子产业转型期新品种保护中存在的主要问题,提出了有序推进中国植物新品种保护制度的政策建议。

The protection system of new varieties of plants has a positive effect on modern seed industry in China. Some main problems in the protection of new varieties of plants and seed industry development in China are analyzed in the paper. The authors also propose the measures to meet the new challenges including enforcing the management strategies for the scientific and technological value chains of plant seeds, enhancing the abilities of independent innovation in seed science, technology and industry etc.
