This paper summarily describes the commercial solution of large capacity soft - switch server from the point view of telecom - system management, which also results from the project practice over many years. It consists of the high level design of call servers and the design of distributed media gateway controllers, which appear as the separations and combinations of respective logic entities. And it also implies some principles and methods for designing and managing such a complex distributed soft - switch system.
