通过对《西河郡林氏族谱序》和残存的湖南常德《十德堂林氏族谱》资料及龙岩石牌前《奎垣公房谱》的分析,《西河郡林氏族谱序》一文不可能是林则徐所撰写。《西河郡林氏族谱序》所摘录的林氏先祖世系、行实有所本,个别先祖世系、行实,有待进一步查考。林则徐的先祖高德公与文德公不是同一个人。

Through the analysis of the Preface of Lin＇s Genealogical Tree in Xihe County, the survived materials of Lin＇s Genealogical Tree of Shidetang in Changde of Hunan Province and the Revered Mr. Kui Yuan＇s Branch Tree in Shipaiqian of Longyan city, the article proves that the Preface of Lin＇s Genealogical Tree in Xihe County can＇t be written by Lin Zexu.The genealogy of Lin＇s original ancestry excerpted from the Preface will be further examined. The revered Mr. GaMe, Lin Zexu＇s original ancestor and the revered Mr. Wende are not the same person.
