Multi-code is used in The Wilde Duck by Ibsen, which is considered to be the beginning of his psychological and symbolic dramas. It makes it possible to interpreter this work from multi perspective. As a tragic drama, it has the same narrative mode as that of the myth of Oedipus. In this thesis, the deconstruction of traditional social structure and the construction of modernism will be discussed this thesis from the perspective of Northrop Frye＇s Archetypal Criticism.
