公平、正义是构建社会主义和谐社会的关键环节,而公安机关作为维护公平、正义的主力军,其作用尤为突出。在构建和谐社会的过程中公安机关维护公平、正义要做到:一、以公平、正义为价值尺度,坚持依法行政,强化行政执法监督;二、以公平、正义为基本要求,充分发挥公安机关的职能作用,维护社会稳定;三、以公平、正义为终极目标,坚持执法为民,切实提高执法质量。

justice is the key point to construct the socialism and harmonious society. As the main force to maintain justice, the function of the police becomes more and more prominent. To build the harmonious society and maintain the justice we should take action as followings： Firstly, putting the justice as the value measure, executing persistently, strengthening the executive surveillance Secondly, putting the justice as the basic requirement, making the function of the police effectively, maintaining the stability of society Thirdly, putting the justice as the final goal, executing in the view of citizen, improving the executive quality effectively .
