摘要
图像学和符号学同属于西方学术研究的模式,都可应用于视觉文化的研究。在已有的敦煌艺术研究成果中,既有图像学的近似性,也有符号学方法的初步介入,及时总结和研究这些新动向,系统地分析图像学和符号学的理论方法,有利于敦煌艺术史学在更为广阔的视野中深入发展,也必将会对中国当代艺术发展产生积极的影响。
Iconology and Semiotics are the models applied in the western academic study. Meanwhile, they can be employed in the study of visual culture. There was not only the similarity of Iconology but also the initial introduction of Semiotics in the existing achievements of Dunhuang art study. To summarize and study these new trends promptly and to analyze the theoretical methods of Iconology and Semiotics systematically is good to the deeper development of Dunhuang art history in the wider horizon and has a positive effect on the modern art development in China.
