抓住《国务院关于加强地质工作的决定》出台这一战略机遇,认清当前经济形势和时代要求,在新的历史条件下,充分发挥地勘单位作为地质勘查主力军的优势,不断拓展地质工作服务领域,积极筹措资金,加大找矿力度,加强重要矿产资源勘查,为我国经济社会的快速发展提高资源保障程度。同时,要科学地制定“十一五”规划,加强地质人才的培养,更新技术设备,精干地质队伍,认真落实国家对地勘单位的优惠政策,进一步调动地勘单位和地质工作者的积极性,为实现地质找矿新的重大突破提供保障。

The paper introduces the main issues that are need in development of geological prospecting work.The Main issues of focus include: The issue of 'Decision of State Council on Strengthening Geological Work' gives us a strategic opportunity,so we must see clearly the current economic situation and demand of the times,fully strengthen the advantage of geological prospecting institutions as main force in geological prospecting under the new historical situation,continually expand range of services of geological work,make great efforts to raise money for increasing mining discovered,intensify the exploration of major mineral resources which aims at being assured of adequate resource support for accelerated development of the economy and society.Meanwhile,the eleventh Five Year Plan must be formulated scientifically,strengthen geological personnel training,update technological equipment,and make geological team very keenwitted and capable;earnestly implement the preferential policies,further stimulate the enthusiasm of the geological prospecting institutions and geological workers,provide guarantee for the new great breakthrough of geological discovering.
