Improvement of the Ring-crush Strength of Corrugating Medium

从介绍瓦楞原纸的主要物理强度性能指标入手,叙述了瓦楞原纸的环压强度对瓦楞纸箱应用性能的关联性影响,分析了影响瓦楞原纸环压强度的因素,讨论了提高瓦楞原纸环压强度性能的途径。

The ring-crush strength of the paper board such as corrugating medium is a very important physical property which has crucial influence on the application performance of the end products such as packaging box. In this paper, the basic concept and measuring principle of the ring-crush strength are introduced,some parameters that affect the ring-crush strength of the paper board are discussed,and several methods that may improve the ring-crush strength are also studied. Results show that the main parameters which influence the ring-crush strength are fiber species, pulping conditions, papermaking process parameters and the characteritics of the paper board and so on. Using some chemical additives such as strengthening agent in papennaking process is a very effective way to increase the ring-crush strength of the corrugating medium.
