The strong corrosiveness of the delivery medium in acid gas field brings lots of hidden troubles to the safe production of gas field. As a result, in the early development of acid gas field, gathering pipelines should be considered to be made of the corrosion prevention material according to the corrosiveness of delivery medium. The paper,by exploring the choice of gathering pipelines' material in Luojiazhai Gas Field of PetroChina's Southwest Oil and Gas Field Branch Inc. ,states the principle about the corrosion of acid medium,puts forward the choice of pipeline's material by classification, and deeply discusses the choice principle of ordinary steel and clad steel, thus providing valuable experience to the choice of gathering pipeline's material in acid gas field.
