104号院是艾未未在草场地村完成的第四件作品。这座低造价的砖混建筑,以最基本的材料形成了一个独立而完整的世界;并作为艺术工作室,与其中的艺术展品共同传达了艾未未对自我世界的解释以及对中国当代社会与文化现实的思考。
Courtyard 104 Locates the fourth studio Ai Weiwei built in the Caochangdi Village. By building a low-cos brick-concrete complex, Ai establishes a self-sustained world with basic materials, And as a studio-gallery, together with the exhibits praessented there, this building carries the message of Ai＇s explanation of his inner world and his thoughts on current Chinese society and its cultural reality.
