目前全球得到WiMAX许可的企业已达到721家．北美最多．共有394家。WiMAX试验项目全球已经有150个,2006年在韩国、日本、美国．英国．法国等国家共有24个网络进入商用阶段。
Vice chairman of the Science and Technology Committee of the Chinese Academy of Telecom Research under the MII, the number of enterprises obtaining WiMAX license has come up to 721, with the most in Noith America, totaling 394. There have been 150 trial projects of WiMAX worldwide. And a total of 24 networks came into commercial operation in ROK, Japan, the U.S., the U.K. and France in 2006.
