Building a Modern International City Framework with Distinctive Features

随着经济转型、产业集聚、2008年奥运会帆船比赛的日益临近和城市的快速发展,青岛作为半岛城市群的龙头城市和制造业基地,构筑现代化国际城市大框架越来越成为城市经济,社会发展的迫切要求。青岛应形成“三点布局、一线展开、组团发展”的海湾型城市形态,构筑包含生态间隔区的滨海生态体系和陆海一体的综合交通大骨架,形成多中心体系,并借助奥运会提升城市形象．

With the economic transformation, industrial agglomeration, and the approaching of the Olympic sailing ship racing event in Qingdao in 2008 and the rapid urban development, Qingdao has become the flagship city in the peninsula city group and a manufacturing base. Therefore it has become a more and more urgent need for Qingdao to construct a modern international city framework for its social and economic development. Qingdao should construct the bay city form of ＂three-point arrangement, one-line expansion and group development＂ and establish a seaside ecological system which includes the ecological partitioning zone and a comprehensive traffic framework integrated with land and sea, forming a multi-center system and improving the city image with the help of the Olympic Games.
