摘要
前线聚合(Frontal Polymerization,FP)是一种以自身反应热为推动力,通过反应区域连续移动,并最终实现整体聚合转化的聚合反应模式。本文介绍了前线聚合的定义、反应机理及主要特点,综述了前线聚合在制作梯度材料、不饱和聚酯及环氧固化、双环戊二烯开环异位聚合、互穿网络结构制备及微孔材料填充固化保护等方面的应用状况。
Thermal' frontal polymerization is a mode of converting monomer into polymer via a localized exothermic reaction zone that propagates through the coupling of thermal diffusion and the Arrhenius reaction kinetics of an exothermic polymerization. The conditions for the existence of free-radical thermal frontal polymerization are considered. The factors affecting advance velocity of front, polymerization conversion, and molecular weight for thermal frontal polymerization are also reviewed. Both thermal and convective instabilities are discussed as well as strategies for their elimination. Photoinitiated frontal polymerization is briefly introduced. The applications of frontal po!ymerization in manufacturing gradient materials, producing polyurethane, curing unsaturated polyester and epoxy resin, FROMP of dicyclopentadiene, forming IPNs structure and filling pore materials are reviewed herein.
