Discussion on Training Compound Editors for Science and Technology Periodicals

科技期刊编辑人才的培养可采取资深编辑“传、帮、带”,编辑直接参加科教活动,互派访问编辑,吸引优秀科研人才进入编辑队伍,在职深造、短期培训与学术交流等方式,同时应鼓励编辑自我学习与自我完善。另外,人才的培养应依据个性,选择不同潜质的人员,将他们培养成为不同类型的编辑人才。

The future of science and technology periodicals depends on training of high quality editors. This purpose can be realized in the following ways： senior experienced editors teach, help and supervise junior editors; editors participate in research and teaching activities; visiting editors can be exchanged; excellent research and teaching personnel can be attracted to the editing team; editors can take part in in-service advanced study; and short training and academic communications should be encouraged, etc. Meanwhile, editors should be encouraged to improve themselves by self-study. Besides, the training of editors should be conducted in accordance with editors＇ individualities and different potentials to culture all kinds of editors.
