邓小平理论的发展有两次高峰,分别是1978年“北方谈话”和1992年“南方谈话”,前者是邓小平理论的“开篇之作”,后者是邓小平理论的“成熟之作”。两次谈话都发表于重要的历史关头,具体内容有许多相似之处,也有不同的地方,两者都对邓小平理论的形成和中国特色社会主义事业的发展产生了重要影响。

The former is ＂the opening work＂ of Deng Xiaoping Theory and the latter is ＂mature work＂ of the theory. The contents of ＂the two talks＂, issued in the critical and historical key point, have many similarities as well as differences. The two have produced profound influences on the formation of Deng Xiaoping Theory and the development of socialist course with the Chinese characteristics.
