DONG Zhong-shu, a great thinker and educator in the West Han Dynasty, accumulated rich experience during his long period of moral practice. He expanded his theory with the doctrine of the three grades of human nature as the rationsle of moral education, creatively defined the content of moral education, and raised profound suggestions on moral education methods. His rich theory still has valuable reference to current moral education.
