本文从美学角度探讨了中国古诗汉译英的一些体会,指出音美、形美、意境美乃是译文成功的关键,并就此给出一些例子。接着,作者对古诗翻译中不可译问题进行了讨论,从而说明绝对的音美、形美和意境美往往是难以实现的。最后,当在表现诗歌内在美与外在美发生冲突时,我们应该舍弃后者而重前者。

This text has probed into some experience that the Chinese ancient poetry translates from Chinese to English from the aesthstic angle, point out the sound is beautiful, with beautiful shape, the artistic conception is beautiful is the key that the translation succeeds, and provide some examples at this point. Then, authors can＇t translate the question and discuss, thus prove while translating to the ancient poetry the absolute sound is beautiful, the shape is beautiful and the artistic conception is beautiful is often difficult to realize. Finally, as in display poem inner beauty conflict with external U. S. A. , we should give up the latter but in weight the former.
