Breeding Report of Maize Hybrid Weiyu 17

威玉17是威海市农业科学院以外引系齐319为母本,自选系H564为父本组配而成的玉米单交种。各组试验示范结果表明:威玉17比现在生产上应用的品种增产显著,具有高抗各种病害、抗倒伏、综合生产力水平高、适应性强等特点。

Weiyu 17 is single cross hybrid which was combined with Qi 319 as the female parent and H564 as the male parent.The result showed from the various experiments in different regions that Weiyu 17 increases the yield greatly comparing with the varieties used in production and has the character of high resistance to disease and lodging, high comprehensive productivity, wide adaptation etc. This new variety has been received by farmers widely through the application.
