A Concise Analysis on the Theory of Nature by Zhang Zai

张载的“性”论最不易了解,但又是理解其思想的关键所在。本文通过对张载“性”论的内涵,“性”的道德实践层次的考查,以及“性”与其他几个重要概念如“太虚”、“神”、“命”、“心”的关系的分析,试图对张载“性”论内容进行合理地分析和把握,从而揭示出“性”在其思想体系中的地位和作用,以更好地认识其思想的内容特征和意义。

Though Zhang Zai＇s theory of nature is the most difficult to be understood, It＇s the key to comprehend his system. This article attempts to analyze and grasp Zhang Zai＇s theory of nature reasonably, by examining the connotation and moral practice of ＂Natttre＂, the relationship between the nature and other important concepts-- ＂the heaven＂, ＂ god＂ , ＂ destiny＂ , ＂heart - mind＂, so as to reveal the importance and function of ＂Nature＂ . It can also make us have a better viewpoint to understand the characteristic and significance of his ideology.
