自然环境是城市形成的基础.地貌、水文、气候条件等都对长江流域的城市建设和发展产生了深刻影响;历史上的南京、杭州、苏州、景德镇等都是与自然山川有机结合的古代城市范例;现代长江流域的城市正在进行与自然环境协调统一的生态城市建设.

The natural environment is the basis for the formation of cities. Topography, hydrology and climate have a profound influence on the urban construction and development of Yangtze basin. Nanjing, Hangzhou,Suzhou and Jingdezhen are ancient city model of organic combination with the natural environment in history. The modern cities in Yangtze basin are becoming ecological cities that harmonize well with the nature.
