By statistical analysis of the yield and the disease resistance the rice varieties （combinations）, in Hunan Province regional test approved for release by the Crop Cultivar Appraisal Commission of Hunan Province from the year 2000-2005, and the ranking of rice varieties of qualities （combinations） of them, the main achievements were reviewed and the main problems in new rice varieties＇ breeding in Hunan Province were pointed out.
