Sustainable Development Assessment in Ecological Demonstration Area——An Example of Suining’s Eco-Demonstration Area in Hunan Province

为促进生态示范区建设和实现其可持续发展,从生态示范区的基本涵义、目标、考核指标体系、建设程序等方面分析了生态示范区的可持续性,并以湖南省绥宁县生态示范区为例,运用生态足迹模型对其生态足迹进行了分析与评价.该生态示范区的建设成效表明,通过生态示范区建设能够实现区域社会经济与环境的可持续发展.

In order to promote the construction and realize its sustainable development, the sustainability of eco-demonstration area has been analyzed on aspect of definitions, total targets, constructive items, and procedures etc. Besides, ecological footprint was calculated by ecological footprint model in the eco-demonstration area. The high improvement in this show that eco-demonstration area is the key way for a place to develop sustainable. Social and economic sustainable development with environment could be achieved demonstration area.
