摘要
在介绍生态足迹概念和计算方法的基础上，以西安市统计年鉴1995-2004年的数据为依据，对西安市近10年的生态足迹进行了实证研究。结果表明：10年间，西安市人均生态足迹呈上升态势，但2004年出现了较大的生态赤字，人均生态赤字为0．845hm^2。较大生态赤字的存在反映出目前西安市对于生物生产土地面积的需求量已经严重超过了区域生态系统的承载能办，区域生态系统处于人类的过度开发利用和压力之下，其发展模式处于一种不可持续的状态。
Based on introduction to the concept and calculation method of ecological lootprint, the authors calculate and analyze the ecological footprints of Xi＇an from 1995 to 2004 with the data of the statistical yearbooks. The results show that the ecological footprint per capita of Xi＇an increases gradually,and in 2004 the ecological deficit per capita is 0. 845 hm^2. The high ecological deficit indicates the human load has stayed beyond the regional bio-capacity and the regional natural ecosystem is under great pressure of human activities, which means the development mode of Xi＇an is in an unsustainable status as well.
