摘要
汉语拟声词相当全面地描摹了人和客观世界发出的声音,具有多种词形和扩展形式,为语言社会较为逼真地摹写声音对象、丰富语言表达提供了更多的可能性。复杂的声音世界和有限的表音材料(文字)之间的矛盾,使汉语拟声词具有语言的模糊性特点。造词者对客观的声音进行主观表达时在听觉印象上的差异,使拟声词呈现出任意性特点。由于词义分化或义素脱落,造成某些拟声词在表意功能上的改变。
Onomatopoeia in modern Chinese provides a rich representation of sounds made by human beings and from the external world. It includes a large number of basic and expanded lexical forms, which enables the concerned ＂language society＂ to describe the percieved sounds vividly and hence enrichs the language. Onomatopoeia in Chinese is characterized by vagueness due to the incongruence of the complicated world of sounds and the limited linguistic means to represent it. It also demonstrates arbitrariness due to the different audial impressions created by the same sound. The meaning of some onomatopoeic words may change in such situations as the coming off of a sememe.
